BIOGRAPHY

Painter of portraits, genre, landscapes and classical subjects. Daughter of Dr. George Napoleon Epps. Married Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema in 1871. Exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1873, and also at the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours, Grosvenor Gallery and New Gallery. Won a gold medal at Berlin in 1896 and a silver medal at the Paris Universal Exhibition in 1900. Died on 15th August 1909.
