BIOGRAPHY
Painter, etcher and mezzotinter, of animals and genre. Born on 14th June 1862, son of Thomas Francis Dicksee (1819-95) and brother of Sir Frank Dicksee, P.R.A. Studied at the Slade School, where he won medals for painting and drawing from life and also the Slade Scholarship. Exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1885 and elected member of the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers (R.E.) the same year. Lived in London and died on 20th February 1942.
