BIOGRAPHY

Born in Dublin. Apprenticed to father (controller of large firm of stained glass workers) at 16. Dublin Metropolitan School of Art, 1910-13. Awarded three gold medals and two scholarships (one to study cathedral windows in Ile de France). Set up independent, one-man, stained glass workshop in Dublin; designed and executed numerous windows for churches in England, Ireland, and elsewhere; also secular commissions. Designed textiles. Died of tuberculosis in Switzerland.
