BIOGRAPHY
Elliot Daingerfield was born in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, the son of a Confederate general, and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina. As a young man he moved to New York to study art and became inspired by the European Symbolist movement. Elements of impressionism can also be seen in his work. His painting
