Painted by James Doyle Penrose (died 2 June 1932). Brief article on ArtMagik Painter list. Times Obituary 4 June 1932. His "Presence in the Midst" is still found reproduced and framed onm the walls of Quaker Meeting Houses and on the front page of the Ohio Yearly Meeting (Conservative) website. .I hope to make a Wikipedia article on him soon. His son, Roland Penrose was a noted surrealist.
