"The flesh is sad, alas, and there’s nothing but words!"

O Artmagickal one, surely this should be - Flesh is weary alas and I have read all the books...?

I love this poem but only had the French collection of his poems so sat down and translated to get an idea of them. Now there are translations which make things a lot easier.

I had this quote at the beginning of a story I started years ago about a sorceror who had made a mistake and become immortal. I stopped writing it after reading 'All Flesh is Grass' about a man who was immortal... sigh.
