Every year The Fine Art Society presents a showcase of museum quality works acquired by the gallery over the previous twelve months. The twentieth in this series of shows, 'The Fine Art Society 2005' includes paintings, sculpture, drawings, prints, ceramics, furniture and metalwork, all for sale.

The exhibition includes a watercolour by Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh, an oil painting by William Nicholson, several Pre-Raphaelite pictures including paintings by John Atkinson Grimshaw and George Price Boyce. Works by major figures, such as Bonington, Whistler and Sickert are included too. The Arts & Crafts movement is also represented with items by Christopher Dresser, William De Morgan and Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
