BOLDINI
"A gnome that envelops, amazes and enchants you". With these words, art critic Diego Martelli has defined the personality of Giovanni Boldini, a painter from Este who died in Paris in 1931 at the age of 89. Loved by women, admired for his style and famous for his elegance, Boldini was one of the few Italian artists capable of reproducing the scintillating atmosphere of the 'Belle Epoque' in his paintings.
120 works of art by Giovanni Boldini will be exhibited at Palazzo Zabardella in Padua. The artworks come from musuems and European and American private collections. Boldini, the icon of the Belle Epoque, is known for his famous portraits of ladies and for his Parisian and Venetian sketches.
